MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CEO

Did you know that the first manned hot air balloon took off November 21, 1783? Since then thrill seekers have traveled across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and around the world.
Those of us who live in the Hudson River Valley are also treated to the ovate-shaped floating vessels once a year at the Chamber’s annual Balloon Festival. This year witness the rising spheres take place on July 1, 2, and 3.
Come to one or all four launches—they are free and great fun for the whole family. Pack the car with the kids and blankets for the Saturday and Sunday 6 a.m. launches at the Hudson River Rowing Association. The festival’s 6 p.m. launches on Friday and Saturday will take place from locations throughout the Hudson Valley including Beacon, Highland, Lagrange, Pawling, Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck and Tivoli.
