The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce thanks the City of Poughkeepsie for its assistance in planning and hosting the Chamber’s annual Balloon Festival. Special thanks to Mayor John Tkayzik, City Administrator Michael Long, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department and everyone who help to make this event a success.

Weekend Program

Friday, July 17th

All launches for this evening have been CANCELLED due to weather conditions.

Saturday, July 18th

6 a.m. Hudson River Rowing Association Community Boathouse: Sunrise launch for all balloons.

5-5:45 PM: The New York Academy of Ballet will present a hip-hop dance show.

6 PM: Balloons lift off from sites including Sprout Creek Farm, Adams Fairacre Farms, Elant Fishkill, Northern Dutchess Hospital, Dutchess Stadium, Rocking Horse Ranch, Millbrook Winery, Washington Recreation Park, Lutheran Care at Concord Village, Red Hook Golf Club, The Hudson River Rowing Association Community Boathouse.

5:45-6:30 PM: Join Belly Dancer extraordinaire Sarah Bell from 5:45-6:30 p.m. as she enthralls the Waryas Park audience with shimmying Oriental dance moves!

6:30 –9 p.m. Concert at Waryas Park featuring the Evergreen Chorus of the Sweet Adelines and the music of the Gillespie show.

There will be a Moonglow at 8:30 PM featuring Health Quest, Elant, and Majestic Insurance balloons at Waryas Park on the banks of the Majestic Hudson River.

6 a.m. Hudson River Rowing Association Boathouse: Mass balloon launch.
