I have been involved with the Chamber as a member since early 2000 when I first bought my business. I didn’t really utilize my membership because I was too involved in my business. However, I learned that I was more valuable working on my business, developing relationships through organizations like the chamber and utilizing the many marketing and advertisement opportunities that the chamber has to offer. Based on my own experience, I work with the Chamber as an ambassador to help others that are experiencing the same challenges to use their investment in the Chamber to grow their business.

I started my business in 2004 to help indivudals who felt frustrated with their lives or "stuck" in their careers to get clear about what they were after, navigate the necessary changes smoothly, and reach their goals as quickly as possible. It was as a member of the Chamber, however, that I learned that the skills that I had, combined with my experience in the corporate and creative worlds were an unbeatable combination when applied to the needs of today's entrepreneurs. The Chamber has been invaluable to the growth of my business opportunities and, therefore, my ability to be of service. I am thrilled to be a member.

I became passionately interested in nutrition and wellness after doing a nutritional cleanse in February 2007. It changed my life and overall health improved, along with a side benefit of dropping 3 sizes! I joined the Chamber because of the amazing benefits. I loved the free radio spot and being listed in the Bottom Line newsletter. The Chamber has helped me jump start my business and sign up new clients. Going to events is key! I became an ambassador because I love helping new members understad all of the benefits and how to expand their business.

Aspire Consulting works with organizations and the individuals in those organizations to discover and use more of their potential, more often, to produce sustainable improvements in the areas that are important to t hem. Prior to founding Aspire Consulting, I had a 21 years career in health care, working the full continuum in management positions. I joined the ambassadors committee for much the same reason I started my company, I believed I had some skills to offer that would assist the committee, the Chamber, and its businesses. I would encourage everyone to use the ambassadors as an additional resource.

I have been an interior designer for 13 years, and this year I am thrilled
to be celebrating the 5th anniversary of Shannon M. Leddy Interior Design,
not to mention my Chamber and Ambassador memberships. It has been an
exciting time for me, as I have gotten to know some amazing people in this
business community, who have become clients, design resources, contacts, and
friends. My Chamber membership and my involvement in the Ambassador
Committee was certainly one of the best decisions I made early on in terms
of helping me to meet some of these great people. These relationships have
garnered me great successes and exposure and I look forward many more
wonderful years of designing beautiful spaces for everyone, and to being a
colleague to current and new members alike!

It is a very special privilege to be part of the Membership Ambassador
committee. We work hard to create and implement programs that help our
fellow members to grow, both as individuals and in their business. And it
is very rewarding to see the results, whether members are learning new
skills, making new business connections and friends, or stepping up to a
new challenge. I have made some really wonderful friends on the committee
and I am very proud to be a member of such a marvelous and thoughtful
team.
